Simon Lowe

“ I called Mailbox Express, as I had an urgent need to move an original art work (a pastel) from the home of the artist in North Berwick to the Royal Geographical Society, in London.  The pastel was of Everest, and had been commissioned to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the mountain’s first Ascent on 29th May 1953.  The celebration was being attended by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.  Before they saw it, the picture had to be signed by Everest luminaries including Sir Chris Bonnington, Doug Scott CBE and Alan Hinkes OBE, as well as by Jamling Tenzing and Peter Hilary (the sons of Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary).  As is usually the way, especially with the picture in a village so far away from London, it was all a last-minute rush, and things had to be perfect, without a hitch.  So, I called on Mailbox Express. They took over entirely - from the moment of first calling them, I was not involved again until I saw the picture on its stand, perfectly presented, awaiting the arrival of the Queen and Prince Phillip.  Mailbox Express liaised with the artist, collected and packed the picture for safe transport and delivered it effortlessly.   They gave me complete piece-of-mind and confidence throughout.”

With Best Wishes

Simon
